photography that feels like home.
Hey! I’m Shannon :)
I’ve always loved looking through old photographs. There’s just something about them that feels like time travel — which is a little bit magical. As I’ve gotten older (and especially since becoming a mom), those memories have started to feel even more special and fleeting. They’re like little windows into who we were, what chapter we were in, and how we loved. Having my daughter has shaped how I see the world, especially photography. She is strong reminder that photos matter — but not just the pretty posed ones where everything is clean and perfect (does that even exist?) But rather, the every day moments that feel real and messy and fun and authentic that capture a glimpse of your beautiful life. She has also taught me to slow down and invite presence into the mundane and day to day which has opened my eyes to a different kind of art. Holding space for moments to unfold without interruption and interference and inviting a documentary approach that feels real and is almost like I am a fly on the wall.
That’s the kind of feeling I want your photos to have. Like something you’ll hold onto forever. Something your kids or grandkids will flip through one day and say, “wow, look at them.”
I would describe my work as I would describe myself:
warm, intimate, fun, romantic, playful, creative, artistic and soulful.
My editing style is a little more “moody” — I love warmth, playing with light and black + white images
my clients share their most intimate moments with me. the once-in-a-lifetime kind of milestones i feel so privileged to watch unfold through my lens. i invest in their stories, their relationships, and celebrate all of their favourite memories right along with them. i pour my own love and happiness into every image i create.
if you’re down to frolic through fields, make out in the sand and laugh until your stomach hurts, then i’m your girl.
